The Alabama Gulf Coast Recovery Council (AGCRC) is seeking project suggestions
for RESTORE Act Direct Component (Bucket 1) and Spill Impact Component (Bucket
3) Funding. In addition, the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural
Resources (ADCNR) is seeking project suggestions for its Coastal Alabama
Regional Water Quality Program funded through the RESTORE Act Council-Selected
Restoration Component (Bucket 2).
for Buckets 1 and 3 must reflect at least one of the following criteria:
- Restoration and
protection of the natural resources, ecosystems, fisheries, marine
and wildlife habitats, beaches, and
coastal wetlands of the Gulf Coast Region.
development and job creation.
projects benefitting the economy or ecological resources, including
- Coastal flood
protection and related infrastructure.
- Promotion of
tourism in the Gulf Coast Region, including promotion of recreational fishing.
for the Bucket 2 Coastal Alabama Regional Water Quality Program should be
related to the following:
- Construction of stormwater and wastewater
management systems (including upgrades and
repairs to existing systems).
- Low impact development/green infrastructure
- Septic to sewer conversions.
- Monitoring activities.
- Planning related work (e.g., project
prioritization and selection, engineering, and design, and permitting and compliance activities).
